November is only two days away. If you’re a writer that means something to you. November is a good excuse for all of us to challenge ourselves and write without restraint. Too often we resign ourselves to defeat because writing just doesn’t fit into our schedule. November is the month when we can change that, when we can prove that writing can be a part of our life. All it takes is a little willpower and perhaps a stimulant of your choice.
In celebration of National Novel Writing Month, not only is David Harris setting out to tackle a novel, he has also started a blog to track his progress and share his thoughts on writing. It’s often the case that we can learn the most from someone who is faced with these challenges for the first time. Not from the experts, but from the adventurous and romantic.
You can live vicariously through David at http://invisibleexile.wordpress.com/.
You can learn more about National Novel Writing Month at http://www.nanowrimo.org/.
You can write your own novel by telling yourself that it’s just like any other project. It just needs a little more time. With time and patience we can do anything.
As always, we’d love to hear what our readers are up to. Anyone else planning to embark upon this adventure? Tell us as much as you’d like about your novels. The more real you make it, the more likely it is to be written. Happy NaNoWriMo!
