Regan O'Neil's best friend. They've known each other since they were young children. Together, they form an inseperable trio with another childhood friend, Hunter Eisenberg.
Vital Stats: First appears in Chapter 5. Attractive, dark hair and eyes.

HUNTER EISENBERG
Regan's close friend since elementary school. The two live near each other and ride the same bus where he greets her every day with a wide grin. King of sarcasm with a wisecracking sense of humor.
Vital Stats: First appears briefly at the end of Chapter 1. Brown hair, blue eyes.

JARED O'NEIL
One of Regan's two older brothers. At age 17 and just a year ahead of her in school, Jared is closest to Regan in age and is also her favorite sibling. Sweet and more introspective than his older brother, Jared is an avid swimmer and a star on Weatherby High's swim team.
Vital Stats: First appears in Chapter 3. Medium brown hair, green eyes, athletic build. Great student currently in his junior year of high school.

REGAN O'NEIL
Guided By Voices' central character. An average girl comfortable in her average life, there's apparently something well above average inside her that has captured fate's attention. Born on Midwinter's Day as the third of eight children, Regan has spent all her life in Weathersby, Massachusetts. She lives with her family on the outskirts of town near a deserted 17th mansion.
Vital Stats: Brown hair with reddish highlights. Green eyes. Comes from a large Irish family.

EMMA SEAGRAVE
Veteran teacher of English and Literature at Weathersby High School. Older woman, has been a teacher in Weathersby for as long as anyone can remember. Some figure she must be long past due to retire. Speaks with just the barest hint of a faded English accent.
Vital Stats: First appears in Chapter 2. Gray hair fading to white, blue eyes, wrinkled skin, slim stature, age unknown.

GALEN SMITH
Student in Regan's grade. Reclusive and mysterious. Looks a bit older than other sophomores, Regan figures he must have flunked a few times. Wears dark colors and a long black coat all the time. In 1 out of 6 classes with Regan, plus homeroom and lunch. His presence can easily go unnoticed unless one focuses on his being there.
Vital Stats: First appears in Chapter 2. Tall with dark hair and eyes.

JACE SULLIVAN
Regan's long-time crush and now boyfriend with a sweet personality.
Vital Stats: First mentioned at the beginning of Chapter 2, first appears in Chapter 3 as Regan's talking with him over the phone. Blond hair, blue eyes.
