		<description>American, yes. Someday I&#039;m going to describe to you this idea I have of my Great American Novel. I&#039;ve pretty much decided not to write it until I have the resources to spend a year traveling the country followed by another year of nothing but writing. I don&#039;t know all that much about it yet, but I look forward to discussing it with you.

In the meantime I have other projects. &lt;em&gt;Rebellious Bird&lt;/em&gt; is slowly materializing. One of my professors once said that a novelist&#039;s career is like chainsmoking, and I&#039;m beginning to understand this, because the minute I finish this one, I&#039;ll be starting the next.

Anyway. I don&#039;t really have anything to say. I was just caught by that word, American. It&#039;s something I think about a lot, actually--American. There&#039;s just so much there.</description>
