I wonder what the history books will do with us. Surely this is a landmark time in US history. We’re fighting another Vietnam, we’ve elected to office an African American President, and gas prices are at an exciting (too) low. World-wide, economies are about to crash as the baby-boomers realize the mistakes they’ve made with promising to pay for things they never had any intention of paying for.

What will they call us?

When my kids bring home their US or World History books, I will be content to know that I lived through this exciting, turbulent time.

Surely it will be something like this:

• We shall never be completely out of Iraq.
• Barack Obama did what he could.
• We eventually ran out of oil and created engines that ran on water. The government was allowed to have no part in regulating the water-as-fuel industry. This prevented water companies from having any ability to add agendas to the politician-seeking-election’s campaign.

Also, I do hope the history books won’t actually be paper books, but instead a digital manuscript of some sort, not completely unlike Amazon’s Kindle Reader, but perhaps more advanced.
